It's been six weeks since The Immortal Prudence Blackwood cover was revealed, and the ARCs went out to readers. I'm pretty pleased with the reviews I've seen so far! I understand that not everyone is going to enjoy it, but that's how it is for everything out there. Thankfully, as of now, there are more who enjoy it than not.

Summer has come out in full force where I live. My good friend came down to visit, and we went to the lake where we tried paddle boarding for the first time. It was actually easy to do, but lost its shine after the first hour. We tried out a salsa class and I had the best time! My friend was great at dancing while I looked like an electrocuted fish. I did try, which is what's most important. There are so many activities going on this summer that I want to do. Can't wait!

In writing news, I'm about finished with revisions for a book that will soon be undertaking a new name. That should happen this week. I had a dream last week that inspired a new story. I had been working on a sequel to a separate book, but that's been stalled because, honestly, it's supposed to be a fun and quirky book, and I can't write that when I'm not in a happy place. The Immortal Prudence Blackwood was difficult for me to write because it is dark and I had to be in a very specific mood to write it. Well, that mood is present most days with my husband being gone, and the dream I had sparked a great idea for a sequel. I don't know how long it's going to take me to write it. I don't know when it'll be released, or if BHC Press will even like it. We'll just see what happens.

Welcome to 2021

I updated my photo for my website today, as well as for my Twitter. It's a straight-on shot with really no expression, which I think sums up 2021 thus far. The events of January 6th were so horrendous

Merry Christmas!

This year has been tough for everyone. All I can say is that I hope your holidays truly are merry and that you start seeing light at the end of the tunnel that is 2020. For me, I'm looking forward to
